In this tutorial, we learn how to obtain structured hexa mesh for analysis of a mechanical component in ANSYS Static Structural. Structured Hexa Core Mesh was obtained using Multizone meshing technique. Different features, advantages and disadvantages of multizone meshing are also discussed in the tutorial. Every single step has been explained throughout the video for better understanding. When one has insight of how different features work in mesher, they can obtain structural meshing in any other geometry. First, the geometry is split in different sweepable parts in design modeller. Procedure is explained comprehensively in the start. Then different regions are meshed one by one for obtaining hexa core structured mesh. Orthogonal quality of 0.94 (1 is ideal) and skewness of 0.11 (0 is ideal) was achieved, characterizing high quality of mesh. If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to mention them in the comments. 0:00 - Intro 0:22 - Preparing Geometry 4:28 - Meshing 16:43 - Outro

This video demonstrates using Virtual Topologies to clean up imperfections in a model, and then using MultiZone methods to generate a hex mesh in ANSYS Workbench. Leverage simulation technology with a single platform that unifies legacy tools and custom workflows to help companies transform designs into products.
In this demonstration, you’ll learn how to set up and solve a fluid flow simulation of an engine manifold system, entirely within the ANSYS Fluent environment, using the Fault -tolerant Meshing guided workflow. We’ll use the fault tolerant meshing guided workflow to import a problematic CAD geometry and generate a volume mesh, then, we’ll set various boundary and solution parameters, and analyze the results of the simulation.
To perform a Sweep mesh operation, the body must have topologically identical faces on the two ends which act as source and target faces.
