You’re on the right track with a lot of these. However, one thing 2K can’t fix is that so many players are selfish crybabies. Like you said, they don’t get the ball 2 plays in a row and immediately start acting a fool. They only get 1 shot attempt in the 1st quarter, they start sending toxic messages to teammates. So much bs to deal with. There’s been countless times where I barely get the ball the whole 1st half. Guess what tho, I keep playing the right away, wait for my chances, and suddenly I’ve got 20 points in the 2nd half. Just be patient and be a team player, is that so much to ask? People just care more about their own stats more than winning, that’s what it comes down to. People quit out all the time when their team is winning just bc they aren’t getting the ball enough. It’s ridiculous. Vote out teammate, bigger penalties for intentionally losing, and bigger penalties for quitting would help for sure, but people just gotta get their shit together, that’s the biggest thing.
Brute I understand there are randoms who make the rec experience terrible but the issues go both ways,
I have literally seen and played with squads of 3 where if the guard is having a bad game they start blaming the randoms they are not feeding the ball and just make an effort to never pass to them through the whole game and the voting system is a bad idea because ppl will just load in with their squad and kick whoever the random is from the game
And mike wang needs to get replaced, the game needs a new director cause this feels nothing like basketball and is badge reliant to the point where play now isn’t even fun anymore cause every player without badges feels like a high schooler.

I like the greater penalties idea. If we include negative actions for PURPOSELY refusing to share the ball with EVERYONE on the team. I can't even count how many times I start a game as the PG and I can't get the ball to setup the offense or get it back when I'm wide open. You lose the game then these MORONS talk about you scored under 10 points yet they weren't passing the ball your way. There's a badge in the game that rewards people for waiting wide open on offense, so why aren't we using poor defense to our advantage 🤔. I think that if you are at a C grade or better and decide to quit, because you're getting sold, that it shouldn't impact your record or status. This should be an option that pops up automatically based on offensive usage. If your team is racking up "refusal to pass" penalties while you're open then being allowed a free pass to leave would be a great option. You will NEVER see any nba player playing an entire game, be wide open and not get passed the ball. They pass to horrible 3 point shooters when they're open. Our community needs a real hard dose of reality. Basketball is about the team, not excluding anyone and not about one player trying to be superior at the cost of hurting the team. Also, keep in mind people that some randoms are better than your friends yet you keep them out of the loop, DUMB.

#1 & 2 would probably be too difficult to track, so I’d stick to basing it on teammate grade average. Forcing players to be better individuals by being better team players. Play defense, make good passes, take good shots.
Me myself do not even pass to the CPU but to re-position the ball or clear out I never pass to the robot
2k should add 6 different arenas 6 different pickup game uniforms to choose from with a vote to skip arena/uniforms and VOTE TO KICK. we want to see peoples stats and %s and also peoples hot zones/build attributes. we dont know what our randos can even do because we cant see what they can do or what badges they have. we need a major overhaul in this 2k stuff. rec games are suppose to be pickup games focused on 1 on 1 and working on your game/having fun. i want a solos only rec or if youre a 5 man you have a pro am type matchmaking instead of playing against solos. tired of goin in after work for a couple games and 2/3 games are me with randoms against a zone running 5 out. almost impossible to have fun as a solo/duo or even a trio in the rec due to randoms iq levels against zone.
I have 62 win% shoot 72 from 3 in the rec usually have 2 others i run with would b nice to find a couple other good players to run with

I never thought I wanted a vote a person out option but it's necessary to get obvious knuckleheads off the game. I also like the bigger grading for doing the fundamentals that work for playing with teammates. 2k really messed things up with that scoring for the legend.
Rec would be overall better if you had better servers the lag makes average players shitty Rec just ppl wanting to play not taking seriously like pro am better lag would make ppl shoot a lil better right now they could be wide open and lag would still make them mistime it

The worst thing about this is all this fixable and implement-able. 2k just lazy af and I’m glad they all got fired. They already have good AI programmed. Why does it not just carry over from the mycareer, they already have super detailed player stats/2k cards. Why not add logic to the data that’s already there. They already have a grieving system. Why isn’t it more aggressive?
Game is beyond unfun as a solo. Haven’t played in weeks.
